Por tanto, hablamos de un tipo de pr\u00e9stamo, que pide un estudiante con el objetivo de financiar sus estudios universitarios principalmente.<\/p>\n<p>Este tipo de pr\u00e9stamos presenta distintas modalidades, como veremos m\u00e1s adelante. No obstante, su funci\u00f3n principal, como hemos dicho, es cubrir los gastos que conlleva la realizaci\u00f3n de determinados estudios. Esto, mediante un cr\u00e9dito. Un cr\u00e9dito que, posteriormente, se pagar\u00e1 junto a un\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/economipedia.com\/definiciones\/tipo-de-interes.html\">tipo de inter\u00e9s<\/a>\u00a0previamente acordado y que depender\u00e1 de las caracter\u00edsticas del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/economipedia.com\/definiciones\/deudor.html\">deudor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Debemos recordar que un\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/economipedia.com\/definiciones\/prestamo.html\">pr\u00e9stamo<\/a>\u00a0es una operaci\u00f3n financiera mediante la cual, una persona o instituci\u00f3n (prestamista) otorga (mediante un contrato o acuerdo entre las partes) un activo (normalmente una cantidad de dinero) a otra persona (prestatario). Esto, a cambio de un tipo de inter\u00e9s (precio del dinero).[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div id=\"definicion-tecnica\" class=\"intro\">\n<div>\n<h3 id=\"tipos-de-prestamo-educativo\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tipos de pr\u00e9stamo educativo<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>Los tipos de pr\u00e9stamo educativo puede ser principalmente dos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>De corto plazo:\u00a0<\/strong>El beneficiario lo utiliza para pagar el semestre y, luego de cancelarlo durante sus estudios, puede solicitar otro cr\u00e9dito de corto plazo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>De largo plazo:\u00a0<\/strong>El financiamiento se devuelve durante un periodo igual o mayor que el periodo de estudios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h3 id=\"ventajas-y-desventajas-del-prestamo-educativo\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ventajas y desventajas del pr\u00e9stamo educativo<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>Entre las ventajas del pr\u00e9stamo educativo podemos destacar las siguientes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permite que los estudiantes no abandonen sus estudios ante la falta de recursos econ\u00f3micos para financiar su carrera.<\/li>\n<li>Permite financiar programas de posgrado que suelen tener un alto costo.<\/li>\n<li>Las cuotas se deber\u00edan ajustar a la capacidad del deudor.<\/li>\n<li>Puede ofrecer un\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/economipedia.com\/definiciones\/plazo-de-gracia.html\">plazo de gracia<\/a>\u00a0(sin cuotas por pagar). Por citar un caso, de 24 meses tras el desembolso del pr\u00e9stamo. De esta manera, el deudor puede finalizar, por ejemplo, sus estudios de posgrado a tiempo completo y reinsertarse en el mercado laboral. Al haber realizado el programa o la carrera, puede encontrar un empleo bien remunerado y comenzar a pagar el pr\u00e9stamo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Asimismo, algunas desventajas del pr\u00e9stamo educativo son las siguientes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Como cualquier pr\u00e9stamo, demanda un desembolso adicional por los gastos financieros que generan los intereses.<\/li>\n<li>El deudor debe cumplir con una serie de requisitos. Exigi\u00e9ndose, en algunos casos, la figura de un aval y un historial crediticio limpio.
